Nicole Meets Jaco her new Boss

[16:20] Jaco Guisse made his way slowly up the stairs, eyes skimming over a the book in his hands. Glancing up as he reached the top floor, the vampire smiled over to Nicole, calling, "Oh, my. Looks like I've finally run into one of you! If I'm not mistaken?" Closing the book, but keeping his fingers within the pages to mark his place, the male continued, "I know we met some time ago.. briefly. But your name eludes me." Giving a slight bow from the hips, Jaco introduced, "If the fogginess is mutual, call me Jaco."

[16:23] NicoleA Stine turns at the sound of jaco's voice she steps closer to him. She stands with her arms folded as she eyes him "Jaco... I am Nicole" she tilts her head to one side. "So tell me, Jaco... why are you in a restricted area of my library?" she pauses for a moment then lifts a hand to lay on her chest.

[16:27] Jaco Guisse grins, wagging a finger towards the woman, "Nicole.. Nicole. That is exactly what I wanted to discuss with you." Glancing about the room, the male mused, "I fear that the Magpie has.. let's say flown the coop. Gone to take care of other business matters." Turning his focus to the pale woman, he continued, "And in his leave so too have a handful of the staff gone away. Which I'm sure you've noticed? So, due to my history and skill set I've come to take over as Director of the Library. I'm familiar with most of the.. dealings that the Institute dabbles in - besides literature. And in fact look to further expand our.. repertoire." Smiling, his fangs visible but the look kindly, he summarized, "With your help, of course, Nicole."

[16:32] NicoleA Stine takes a few more steps closer to Jaco "So Denny has flown the coop eh?" she slides her hand down her chest to cross her arms over herself again "Well I guess that saves me the burden of killing him" she eyes him with some suspicion "So am I too assume the hockus pockus librarians have followed the magpie like lemmings?" she smirks "I am very skeptical of those who make magic. I never trusted them." She eyes him again "I think we can do well together" she smiles giving a flash of her fangs

[16:35] Jaco Guisse simply gave a shrug. "I'm not privy to what they've gone to do, only that they have gone to do it. And that in his absence it's clear that the Library could use some.. loving attention. Which I'm more than capable of providing." Listening to her opinion of magic, Jaco noted, "Magic is a very.. valuable tool to have. But it cannot be relied upon for everything. While it's powerful, it's unreliable." Smiling at her last comment, Jaco agreed, "Yes, so do I. Now, who all else is left? Have you seen another librarian lately? I'd like to take a tally of those who were loyal to this house and.. reward them." Pausing, he noted to Nicole, "Which includes yourself, in due time."

[16:38] NicoleA Stine tilts her head to one side "I didnt say magic wasn't useful, just based on my experience I dont trust those who use it." She begins to shake her head "I haven't seen anyone.... Just me, your humble reference librarian"

[16:41] Jaco Guisse snickers, noting, "I'm sure that's all you are, hun. I'm just sure." Winking to her, the male gave a sigh, "Well, we'll have to give it a few more days. Perhaps I'll put a call out to see if any answer. Otherwise, looks like we'll be a nice little two-some for a time." Thinking briefly, the male asked, "Have you noted any in the city that would do well in our ranks? Any that I could.. bring into the fold?"

[16:45] NicoleA Stine nods her head "Yes I have. I have suggested it to some but I haven't been given definite answers." she pauses "So we shall see. I will continue to look though for more. I have no doubt that the library will maintain its status in the city" she grins

[16:47] Jaco Guisse grinned once more, an airy laugh escaping his lips, "No worries, Nicole, you are correct, the Library will never fall from grace. Plus, it's less suspicious to have fewer numbers, anyhow. So it allows us to operate a bit more stealthily in the city." Pacing slowly, the male questioned, "Are there any ongoing matters in the city that we're involved in that I should be made aware of?"

[16:51] NicoleA Stine shakes her head "The matters that were at hand have died with the departure of the others. We had issues with the prowlers but... my blade took care of that." she pauses for a moment "Oh and the pack... but my blade took care of that too" she grins

[16:53] Jaco Guisse snickered, noting, "You and your blade seem pretty.. adept, eh?" giving his airy laugh once more, the vampire commented, "Good, we'll need that." Resting his hands on his hips, the male inquired, "Do you have any questions for myself? Just so everything is clear and on the table. Or any Institute, or even Illuminati - since none of you ever fooled me into thinking that died either.. it was just renamed - traditions you'd like to see resurrected?"

[16:56] NicoleA Stine raises a brow "Illuminati? oh please dont tell me you bought into that conspiracy theory" he huffs out a laugh. "Seriously... " she steps closer and lowers her voice "Denny abandoned the seekers. Personally I see them as a useful tool. I still have my cloak in the closet down stairs. Perhaps you should consider resurrecting the seekers"

[17:00] Jaco Guisse murmurs, "Seekers.. Seekers.." Catching the comment about hoods, Jaco perked slightly, "Oh! I think I do recall what you're talking about.. Wasn't it, more or less, the elite of the group, the most trusted? And specialists in assassinations and the like?" Continuing to hum softly to himself in thought, Jaco agreed, "Yes. They should be brought back. And so it shall."

[17:03] NicoleA Stine nods her head "Yes the secret group within the secret group. An excellent method to gather intel or complete assassinations with out the library being blamed and without going to an outside source" she turns and points to the desk. "That's was the magpie's desk. You might find helpful information in his desk or file cabinets"

[17:06] Jaco Guisse grins, teasing, "Yes, I've actually been rifling through the drawers for a couple days now. Found some interested tidbits, but also found that the filing system here was atrocious." Winking to her, the male mused, "Well, though brief, I think this serendipitous meeting was quite beneficial." Starting to walk away, towards the stairs, Jaco swiftly turned and asked, "Oh! Do you all still use communicators? Or has that gone out as well?"

[17:07] NicoleA Stine nods her head. "I have one of those things. Whatever you need you can call me."

[17:13] Jaco Guisse notes, "Once I have a communicator for myself, I'll be sure to do that. If you find a spare, leave it in Magp--- leave it in my desk." Winking to her once more, the vampire began off towards the staircase. Flipping his book open he continued to read as he descended the stairs.

[17:14] NicoleA Stine nods her head then turns to windows and watches the city below
