DCS Fight Basics

This nc is comprised of many people's input - in some cases i put their name in others i just combined into one set of text.

Read all the nc's you rec'd from tox - make sure you read them all and follow all rules.  There's also a nc on lag tips so follow that to help you reduce lag.  You basically put all your settings on most minimum settings in tox.  If your computer can run windlight u can have that everywhere but tox - and keep your normal SL for tox with minimum settings - then u don't have to change them back and forth.

Alt: i have recently learned a lesson in tox - i prefer to fight with swords myself - but now as i walk around tox i have guns at the ready - i may look like there are swords on my back - but i actually have guns in my holsters to pull out any a moment's notice - i encourage u to decide with an enemy if you will do melee or range - but since we can all be attacked with only a moment's notice - guns are the superior weapon in such an encounter - i have all blackops - which is sold in the tox store - they are easier to figure out than jenny carlos but get whatever u want

keep hitting arrows to attack - even if you see your sword moving - it won't do damage again unless you hit your arrow keys or:

a = left
w = up
s = back
d = right
e = jump
c = crouch

i just like cause u can turn -  otherwise u spend half fight turning around

JonnyGio Forcella: If you are provoked, you will answer at that...but be wise in your action, ask for back up in Ka chat, suddenly you will find a great number of kindred ready to watch your back.
Otherwise..if you are on your own, value the situation, the environment, the number of enemies and their level...don't let the anger overpower your wisdom, if you understand that you cannot handle it, be wise, there is no shame in making work your brain and wait for a best occasion to face the matter. Don't be deceived from the level, not underestimate the adversary just because he or she has a lower level, the level has a relative worth, more than once I have seen higher level be beaten from
Moreover, use your words before draw your sword, most of the time, they will keep safe your Honour and your ass as well.
Last thing...SAVE the chat log! and send it to a bloodknight, the matriarch or the overlord, also to a Sentry would be fine, they will report to the higher rank, to sort it out in case of issues.

Alt: You can't jump in on a fight - only one on one fights - except in very rare circumstances - like our entire family is attacked by another family or the leaders of our family decide on a group fight.

Latiana Meili: 1, one on one only - you cant jump in after the fact - you can rp heals - you have to rp attack

Mouselook

Does everyone use mouselook to fight? It is hard to get used to but is much better for sword work
with guns u have to already - u can also practice walking around tox or SL already in mouselook also - u can turn around immediately in mouselook in normal look - whatever u call it - u spend half the fight turning around

i can tell when i fight people sometimes cause they have their back to me and i keep attacking them :)

In mouselook is important to keep the horizon line in center of ur screen or u become disoriented (keeping the land in the center of screen) - it took me about a month to learn mouselook -

The bad thing about mouselook is you can't see the hud over your head very easily - but i have noticed lately that the hud at the top of my screen has been updating much faster now - also u can see over ur head if ur mouse is in right place and if it's light enough color to see good i just hit heal when i know i was attacked good

Gestures

these are to attach to your F keys - ask one of your leaders for a copy if you don't have one - then you can customize your own

Deactivate all your other gesture as well or you will keep spinning kissing or whatever

Alt: yes SL has a ton of gestures comes with it make sure u decactivate - it lags u

Jonny: just type in the inventory ACTIVE - you will see all the active gestures so u can deactivate them - you can do gesture to use other powers as well BUT some powers need a target - so u just cant use without the hud or typing the command in chat with the name of our target

Alt: is best to learn all the comands to type in chat - once u know them - make F keys to do faster but know them on your own as well

Latiana Meili: Guys always set to run - I see many walking in fights - and turn you ao off and detach make you faster

Alt: turn off everything but the essentials

control R is run - or go to world (on top menu) - always run

Also if u watch ur enemies if u know u have a certain enemy - watch how they fight - if they jump - if they run around a lot - haha if they use guns, claws, swords - so u can prepare - they can also cheat so u have to watch them - u can also do control alt T -  to see invisibles on them -  they may have illegal weapons or shields or jumps etc

Always fight with capon with your family - you are not allowed to kill you family under any circumstance - only the overlord or matriarch have that power - you can always tell them about problems with your family members - but don't dishonor your family in public - it is good for our leaders to hear info on family members - it's not being a tattletail to give info on other family members because in the future that info could be very important in other matters.

Only a most hated enemy would be captured and then killed while in capture mode - so keep that in mind.

Sometimes u fight an enemy - u are in normal mode u can be killed - they are cowards they do capon -it is fair to then kill them cause if u had lost u would die automatically
