Imani Darkwatch wants to borrow the Library's Grimoire

Main Characters: Nicole and imani darkwatch

Imani comes to the library seeking some books pertaining to magic. Nicole discusses the meeting with Russ. Russ comes up with a plan to give Imani a fake Grimoire

[2013/05/14 13:37] i๓คຖi (imani.darkwatch): /me Had finally found her way into the library again and took a look around. Didn't seem like much had changed but she had been gone for quite awhile. Slowly weaving through the book stacks she frowned a bit remember how much she hated putting them back in place, especially after a full moon. Humming quietly she continued to walk though one stopping and glanced up at the book on the shelf debating climbing up or getting it down the old fashioned way. She raised her hand about to give a quick flick of her wrist and stopped hearing a voice and glanced over her shoulders, her bright green eyes scanning the woman... "Good day." she muttered quietly

[2013/05/14 13:47] i๓คຖi (imani.darkwatch): /me Leaned on the shelf and watched the woman just for a moment before responding. She didn't look familiar at all. No one did to her as a matter of fact however that was here or there. Letting a small smile for across her lips she gave a nod of her head and thought she would test the woman at least before she got into the heavy questions.. "Yes do you have a copy of The Necronomicon?" she asked quietly gazing up at the ceiling for a moment sensing someone else near.

[2013/05/14 13:51] NicoleA Stine: /me crossed her arms with a tilt of her head and a shifting of her weight "Do you mean the text by HP Lovecraft? We have many of his writings, if that's what you are interested in?"

[2013/05/14 13:54] i๓คຖi (imani.darkwatch): All of them actually, also a book on Demonology and The Satanic Bible." she rattled off and suddenly got a chill even thinking about touching those books. However she was here for a job and those books were warranted.

[2013/05/14 13:57] NicoleA Stine: /me raises a brow and questions "Why are you interested in these books?" she tilts her head to the other side "Those books pertaining to magic are not available to just anyone and they come at a price"

[2013/05/14 14:01] i๓คຖi (imani.darkwatch): /me Continued to lean on the shelf and glanced over her shoulder. Being in this damn city again gave her the chills. She took a breath and looked at the woman speaking for a moment and lifted one of her gloved hands and slowly lifted it, as she focused on the book she wanted off the shelf. Waving her hand just a bit she canted her head seeing the book slide off the top shelf and slowly guide its way to the floor at the woman's feet... "Well for one, I've been gone awhile and need to hone these new skills I'm picking up... Secondly, I need more information on demons.. I don't plan on being attacked and held hostage as I was once before." she replied quietly as she nibbled on her lip and tried to force back said memories.

[2013/05/14 14:04] NicoleA Stine: /me nods her head "Well the book on Demons and the Satanic Bible are available however if you are looking for a Grimoire that is not available to just anyone. I would have to get special permission for you to look at that." she dropped her arms and rested a hand on her hip as she lifted the other to comb her hand through her hair

"yes I am well aware, if you would kindly get to getting that "special permission" it would be wonderful for me." she smiled and pulled her hood a bit more over her fiery locks and quickly added.. "Where is Tops? By the way." she had not seen her, Vox or Kyle since arriving in town and grew more curious by the moment.

[2013/05/14 14:12] i๓คຖi (imani.darkwatch): What do you mean no longer with us? What happened to her? Did Drake get to her?" she fired off all these questions trying to still process it all at the moment.

[2013/05/14 14:15] NicoleA Stine: /me continues "Tops stepped down and has since left the island, her whereabouts are unknown." she laughs "Drake? as if" she rolls her eyes. "Now back to the Grimoire. I will be more than happy to get that 'special permission' you are seeking. However it will come at a price. What do you have to offer?"

[2013/05/14 14:24] i๓คຖi (imani.darkwatch): /me Resisted the urge to flick her wrist at the woman and possibly send her flying across the room and took a breath. "I find nothing I said funny at all. He almost killed me, and we won't talk about when he did while he had me. So I would appreciate you keeping the laughing or giggling to yourself." she snapped and reached into her pocket pulling out her Illy communicator and flipped it a couple times in her fingers..."Considering I know exactly what the "library" is, who operates here since I used to be here quite often. I am just going to ask you to request the book and ask them what the price will be and it will be taken care of period. No questions asked." she finished flipping the communicator at the woman.. "I don't even know if that thing works anymore I've been gone for so long." she muttered watching to see if it fell to the ground or if the woman was what she thought she was and caught it.

[2013/05/14 14:31] NicoleA Stine: /me narrows her gaze at the woman. He voice was low "What and who I laugh at is my discretion. I have been with the library long before Tops was the Head Librarian here and I have no memory of you or your issues with Drake." She snaps her fingers in the woman's face and allows the comm to fall to the floor "You can flip you comm all you want. I am not here for you to order around like a dog." her voice turns into a low growl "Be on your way... Ms" she looks down at the comm laying on the floor and stomps it with her foot grinding it into the carpet as if it were a cigarette

[2013/05/14 14:52] i๓คຖi (imani.darkwatch): /me Pushed herself up for the bookshelf and just looked at the woman with a smug look. Giving her fingers a wiggle she felt the heat start to rise through them as she tried to calm that temper of hers.."Let's get something correct buttercup, I didn't demand... I asked. Huge difference. Laughing at someone almost dying is something only who is is already dead would do, so thanks for confirming that you are nothing but another leech of the city. Lastly if you were here for that long I would remember you, furthermore you would.. no you SHOULD know if one of yours were that badly injured and by whom. Looks like the entire library might be in trouble." she snorted and turned on her heels as she lifted her palm and blew into her hair watching the little flames dance... "Anyhow I'll be back for said books sometime, perhaps when you aren't so temperamental.I found myself being quite nice...." she laughed and stopped at the door.. However I guess if I were a vamp working in a library I'd be pissed too, nothing like being disowned eh? Only logical explanation.... cya around I'm sure." she muttered and made her way out into the night.

Later that day:

[18:06] Ryuu (ryuushin.mazi) chuckles as Russ leads her down the street, smiling at her crack about the library being empty, and then smiles as Nicole comes in, folding her hands behind her back, looking all the world like she'd just dropped in to chat with Russ. "So i said to him 'take your books and shove 'em. We don't work with eldritch horrors."

[18:09] NicoleA Stine smiles and nods to Russ and Ryuu as she takes a seat on the couch and crosses her legs

[18:11] Andrussa (russ.uxlay) grins at Ryuu, "Maybe I'll m-meet you at the shop. Give me a chance t-to change out of my work clothes, yeah?"

[18:12] Ryuu (ryuushin.mazi) nods and smiles, murmuring "Of course. See ya soon." She drops a quick peck on Russ's cheek and gives a polite semi-bow to NIcole, wandering out with her hands clasped behidn her back

[18:12] NicoleA Stine looks up and gives a wave to Ryuu

[18:13] Andrussa (russ.uxlay) waves to Ryuu before reaching to her hat and tossing it away, looking to Nicole, giving her a grin, "Anything n-new?"

[18:15] NicoleA Stine nods her head "Mhmm. Some woman came into the library today asking if she could borrow a book on magic. She claims she worked for the library but I dont remember her. I think I need to find out more about this woman"

[18:17] Andrussa (russ.uxlay) nods, reaching up and taking off her hat, "Did sh-she give a name, or anything to identify her? If sh-she were a librarian, surely she'd know wh-where to look in the restricted books, yeah?"

[18:20] NicoleA Stine shakes her head "No but she says she will return. I will deal with her then but in the mean time I will keep an eye out for her." she shrugs her shoulder with a smug look on her face "Perhaps I will torture her" she holds out her hand and studies her nails

[18:22] Andrussa (russ.uxlay) shakes her head, "Th-that's awful uncreative. And remember, w-we just happen to have a witch that works here that is r-rather good at putting together a spellbook, both real and fake." She grins, "I'll make a fake and leave it upstairs. J-just in case anyone sees a use for it. But I w-won't tell you to not enjoy yourself, yeah?"

[18:25] NicoleA Stine lays her hands in her lap "Well there is no way I will let her look at our Grimoire we have" she pauses for a moment Oh and a strange man came into the library lastnight. I found him upstairs, he was very interested in oil. He needed some information about oil" she has a puzzled look on her face "I will definetely look into that"

[18:28] Andrussa (russ.uxlay) blinks, and shrugs, "Oil? That's... fecking odd. Oh well." She nods after a moment, "N-no, obviously not suggesting you let anyone t-to anything important. But a g-good fake can get us something before they've any idea wh-what's what. A few simple spells any w-witch should know, and a lot of gibberish, and they won't realize it till far too late. Hell, I could m-make it explode after they g-get halfway, if you'd like!"

[18:30] NicoleA Stine smiles at Russ's suggestion "That could work" she begins to laugh "Yes Yes I think thats a plan"

[18:33] Andrussa (russ.uxlay) nods again, smiling, "Th-then I'll get on that. ANd ch-change out of these sewer-stinking clothes. Oh y-yeah, there's a bomb under th-the Kindred's and Coven's street block. Not strong enough t-to actually pierce the pavement, but they don't have t-to know that. Just s-so you know. But don't tell anyone quite yet, if y-you can avoid it."

[18:34] NicoleA Stine raises a brow "A bomb? Ok" she says calmly. "Just let me know when you plan to detonate it" she smiles

[18:35] Andrussa (russ.uxlay) chuckles, "It w-won't matter for it blowing up, it won't do any damage. The fact is th-the threat of it, yeah?" She turns and heads to the stairs to get some privacy.
